Announcement for those wishing to make donations to the peace fund of the National Reconciliation and Peace Centre
The Union Government has been placing special emphasis on the national reconciliation and peace process with a view to finding a solution for political problems through political means through negotiations and holding the Union Peace Conference—21st Century Panglong. In doing so, the Union Government is spending the public funds systematically.
In spending public funds for the peace process, the Union Government is specifically putting great stress not only on compliance with financial rules and regulations but also to be effective and beneficial.
To ensure that success is achieved in a smooth manner, in performing the wide ranging tasks of the Peace Process, it is very important that the needed funds are acquired, that these funds are allocated equitably, and that they have been used effectively in a beneficial manner.
As the international community is also providing assistance, the( Joint Coordinating Body for Peace Process Funding — JCB) was formed on 20 December 2016, chaired by Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, State Counsellor with a view to allocating these funds systematically.
The Myanmar Peace Process is the concern of all ethnic nationals and Myanmar citizens. We will be able to build an all-inclusive peace only if everyone joined in the peace process as much as possible. In collecting funds needed for the peace process, contributions from international donors as well as Myanmar donors is very important to ensure that Myanmar citizens are involved in the Peace Process. Accordingly, for the people to be able to contribute, SF-004048 bank account of NRPC-Peace Fund has been opened at the Myanma economic Bank, Nay Pyi Taw branch.
We therefore wish to respect fully inform and announce that donor organizations, and individuals in the country who wish to make donations, can take an active part in the implementation of the peace process of the country by contributing as much as possible to the Peace Fund of the National Reconciliation and Peace Centre.
