VP U Myint Swe reviews final preparations for Martyrs’ Day

Vice President U Myint Swe yesterday morning visited Martyrs’ Mausoleum in Bahan township, Yangon where preparations for the 70th Anniversary Martyrs’ Day were under way.

The Vice President, patron of the Central Committee for the Observance of 70th Anniversary Martyrs’ Day, attended a briefing on plans for a graphic presentation of the nation’s struggle for independence.

The Vice President also reviewed, the renovation of the stairs and ceremonial decorations of the mausoleum and other aspects of the compound.

The Vice President then visited Bogyoke Aung San Museum where preparations for the ceremony were taking place. He inspected plans to exhibit a statue of Bogyoke Aung San and the late leader’s rare photos and personal items.
