Myanmar New Year Parittas Recitation Ceremony held at Presidential Palace to keep people safe from dangers, from COVID-19 For the safety of all Myanmar citizens in the Myanmar New Year of 1382-ME and for winning the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, an annual Parittas Recitation ceremony was held at the Presidential Palace yesterday. President U Win Myint and First Lady Daw Cho Cho attended the ceremony and listened to the Parittas recitation. Members of the Sangha led by Ovadacariya Nay Pyi Taw Pyinmana Maha Withutayama Zaygone Monastery Sayadaw Abhidhaja Maha Rattha Guru Dr Bhaddanta Kavisara attended the ceremony and recited the Parittas. Afterwards, President U Win Myint and First Lady Daw Cho Cho presented offertories to the Sayadaws and shared the merits gained. Following the ceremony, the President and the First Lady offered “soon” (day meal) to the Sayadaws.
